Ivan Vasilevich Udodov (Russian: Ðван ÐаÑилÑÐµÐ²Ð¸Ñ Ð£Ð´Ð¾Ð´Ð¾Ð²; 20 May 1924 â 16 October 1981) was a Russian weightlifter who won an Olympic gold medal in 1952 and a world title in 1953, both in the bantamweight category (â56 kg).

Biography
Ivan Vasilevich Udodov (Russian: Ðван ÐаÑилÑÐµÐ²Ð¸Ñ Ð£Ð´Ð¾Ð´Ð¾Ð²; 20 May 1924 â 16 October 1981) was a Russian weightlifter who won an Olympic gold medal in 1952 and a world title in 1953, both in the bantamweight category (â56 kg). He then moved to the featherweight (â60 kg) class and won silver medals at the world championships of 1954 and 1955. In 1952â54 Udodov set four world records: one in the press, one in the snatch, and two in the total.
